A renewed PSV Skybox for VDL, offering a vision of the future and a view of the field.
Upgrade
A Skybox at the Phillips Stadium is the ultimate place to gather, receive guests, and enjoy a unique view of the PSV field. Additionally, the space also offers various meeting facilities, even on weekdays this lounge is multifunctionally used for workshops, courses, and business appointments. VDL asked us to give this space, which combines both business meetings and supporting PSV, a contemporary update. We brought the Skybox back up-to-date, through a complete renovation of the ground floor, a reorganization of the upper floor, and the addition of subtle interior elements.
In the updated interior, elements were reintroduced that were also used in VDL’s headquarters. With additions such as wooden accents, rich carpets, and colorful wallpaper, we elevated the space to a new level. These elements create a warm, accessible atmosphere – a world of a difference! The world of VDL and PSV.
The design process focused on enhancing the connection with the field and soccer. Modern adjustments had to be made, while preserving the passion for PSV. One of the larger changes is an elevated platform by the window side. Previously, it was impossible to view the match from the lounge. Now, the platform offers a panoramic view of the field, making the lounge the ultimate place to enjoy the game in comfort and style.
Meeting rooms
The meeting rooms on the ground floor have been completely redesigned. Whereas these spaces were previously closed and sober, an open and light layout was chosen. Large windows and natural light provide a transparent appearance. These rooms now accommodate larger groups for meetings, workshops, and courses. And afterwards? A drink at the bar in the lounge, of course.
Lighting plays a crucial role in the transformation of the Skybox. Instead of harsh spotlight, timeless Bocci lights have been hung above the bar, adding a touch of refinement to the space. Additionally, the ACE by Meneer Voss, a circular pendant light hanging from its own electric cord, provides a contemporary accent above the meeting table. The carefully selected light elements elevate the interior and enhance the stylish ambiance.
